Most Friends fans will remember Joey and Phoebe's kiss during The One With The Two Parts.
And now, show star Matt LeBlanc has revealed how things could have went a whole lot further between the characters.
The actor, 52, spilled on how he and co-star Lisa Kudrow came up with the potential idea, but show writers weren't as keen.
Telling People, Matt recalled the pitch in which Joey and Phoebe had actually been having "casual sex" for the entire ten series.
He said: "We’d go back and shoot all the historical scenes.
“Just before a moment that everyone recognises, there’s Joey and Phoebe coming out of a broom closet together."
Although the idea failed to impress producers.
“But [the writers] were like, ‘Nah,’” the actor added.
Instead, writers came up with a similar situation between Chandler and Monica, with the characters keeping their romance a secret from the group for months.
Matt's shock confession follows on from reports Jennifer Aniston's character Rachel was nearly wrote out of the show altogether.
But the issue was resolved by airing a ratings-winning stream of TV films adapted from Danielle Steel novels at the same time as Aniston's other show.
We certainly wouldn't have the show any other way.
