Kanye West Is Still Wearing His Wedding Ring Amid Kim Kardashian Divorce

*zooms in*

Unexpected update: Kanye West is still wearing his wedding ring amid divorce proceedings with Kim Kardashian. Fans noticed that Kanye had his ring on in a photo that DJ Khaled posted to Instagram, which he captioned, “TRUE STORY: KANYE STOPPED BY MY HOUSE AT 8 A.M. THE OTHER DAY! I DIDN’T KNOW HE WAS COMING!”

And yeah, if you go ahead and zoom in on that pic, there’s definitely a ring on Kanye’s finger.

Meanwhile, fans also noticed (so much noticing, so little time) that Kim stopped wearing her wedding ring in December:

In case you, uh, somehow missed it, Kim filed for divorce from Kanye on February 19, with multiple outlets reporting that the couple plan to split legal and physical custody of their four children. Kim’s documents did not list a date of separation (instead, it was listed as “TBD”). Meanwhile, Kanye responded two months later in April, also filing paperwork seeking joint legal and physical custody of their kids and—like Kim—citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

While Kim and Kanye’s divorce seems pretty drama-free, sources say they aren’t in touch and are instead concentrating on co-parenting their children. According to Page Six, “Even before Kim filed for divorce, Kanye changed his numbers and said, ‘You can contact me through my security.’” A source also told People that Kanye requested Kim not be there during his visits with their kids, saying, “Kanye has been spending time with all the kids. A nanny is around during the visits. Kim has not been around for the visits, at Kanye’s request.”

Taking some time apart is totally normal, so here’s to hoping Kim and Kanye are able to remain friends in the future!
