When you split in the public eye with the media going into tizzy and fans expressing their concern, disappointment or just plain opinion on social media, you would think it’s too much of a trouble to get back in touch or stay friends with your ex. However, Hollywood and Bollywood elite are proving that this isn’t the case. Recent sightings of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck after the former’s split from her partner Alex Rodriguez reiterates the fact that you can stay close to your ex even after you’ve found new partners. After all, they used to be so important in your life at one point of time and know more about you than many of your other friends. So here’s a list of our favourite celebs who have remained good friends with their exes.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck 

The two have been spending time in Los Angeles post Jlo’s breakup with Alex Rodriguez. The two were engaged in 2002 and were known as “Bennifer” to the world. The wedding that was to take place in 2003 was postponed the same year and eventually the two broke off in January 2004. Lopez called the breakup with Affleck “probably my first big heartbreak.”

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston

We all know of the adorable backstage reunion of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston at the SAG Awards. The two went through a much publicised divorce in 2005 but 14 years later, Pitt attended Jennifer’s 50th birthday party in February 2019. Though Brad has been seeing different women post his split from Angelina Jolie, he and Jennifer continue to be good friends.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone

The two had a much publicised romance and a breakup that hurt the whole nation. As per reports Ranbir cheated on her with Katrina, which led to the split. Both have moved on since then, with Deepika being happily married to Ranveer Singh and Ranbir’s now dating Alia Bhatt. But the two continue to remain close friends and often hang out together. 

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan

Once a power couple, the childhood sweethearts split in 2014 but they still continue to be co-parents for their two sons. The two even go on family vacations together and have been rooting for each other with adorable posts on social media.

Gwyneth is married to TV producer Brad Falchuk now but Chris Martin, her ex-husband and the father of her children, Apple and Moses is still a close friend. On Chris’ 42nd birthday she posted a cute message on Instagram which read: "Happy Birthday CAJM. This is a special one. We love you so much. #42.” 

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom

After they split in 2013, Miranda and Orlando have not only remained close friends but celebrate each other’s new relationships too. They have shown a lot of people how to do this the right way. When Bloom's fiancé Katy Perry posted a sweet tribute to the actor on his 44th birthday, Kerr commented, "Awww ?❤️? Love you guys so much! Happy Birthday @orlandobloom ???”

Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan

Katrina and Salman went on to do many movies together post their breakup. Though the two never publicly acknowledged their relationship when they were together, many believe that Salman is responsible for Katrina’s upward career graph. Till date they remain good friends and are often seen at each other’s parties.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott

Recently for Travis Scott’s 29th birthday ex Kylie Jenner flew cross country to be with him. This is more than friendly gesture is what media speculated. The former couple who have a daughter called Stromi split in October 2019. While they continue to co-parent their child, the two seem to be giving their relationship another chance.
