"Today, actor Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin are getting married and are taking the first steps as a married couple. We apologise for the fact that this ceremony will be held privately in consideration of the coronavirus situation. We bring you the news through the wedding photographs of the two. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for the many congratulations and warm support for the two of them on their new beginning," Hyun's agency penned in a heart-warming post, sharing the first glimpse of the newlyweds.
Back in February, when the duo announced their wedding, reports suggested that the couple were planning to host their big day in the outdoor gardens of the Grand Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul, overlooking the picturesque Han river. According to reports, the ceremony was to be attended by not more than 100 guests—in keeping with the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic—with family and close friends in attendance.
The celebrated Korean actors first crossed paths in 2014, at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, where they were seated next to each other. Fast forward to 2017, Son and Hyun had been confirmed for their first project together, Negotiation, where they grew closer together. Two years later, they were confirmed as the lead pair for Crash Landing on You, taking fans by surprise with their palpable chemistry. In 2021, after several secret sightings, the news broke that Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin had been dating for months.
"I made a promise to her who would always make me smile. Let's walk through the days ahead together. With the warm and affectionate gaze you have sent so far, I think you will be happy to support our first step," Hyun penned in a heartwarming post via his agency.
Congratulations to our favourite on-screen—and now off-screen—couple!
