From Switzerland to Pataudi Palace, Step Inside the Luxurious Properties Saif and Kareena Own

Their 800-crore ancestral palace—that boasts of 150 rooms, a swimming pool, and sprawling lawns—serves as the perfect royal retreat.

Earlier this year, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor moved across the street in Mumbai's star-studded Bandra neighbourhood, to a brand new home to accommodate their growing family. However, not many people are aware that the couple own more than just two homes in the city! The couple also own a gorgeous chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland—that happens to be their go-to vacation spot. Besides, how can we forget Saif Ali Khan's ancestral home, Pataudi Palace, that puts most B-town holiday homes to shame.

A Chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland

In season 3, episode 5 of Koffee With Karan, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan revealed that they share a special connection with Switzerland. In fact, Gstaad—an upscale resort town in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps—happens to be their favourite holiday getaway. However, not many people are aware that the power couple own a luxury chalet in Gstaad as well. And, when they are not spending time at their own home, they can be spotted at their favourite hotel, Gstaad Palace.

The Couple's New Bandra Home

Earlier this year, Saif and Kareena made the decision to move into a brand new home across the street, to welcome the new addition to their family. "Saif and Kareena’s new house is an extension, of sorts, of the old one. It’s a lot larger than their old house. It’s more spacious with beautiful terraces, a swimming pool, outdoor areas, and open spaces that have been landscaped. It has room for everyone," said interior designer Darshini Shah in an interview. The residence also holds a special library for Saif, a nursery for baby number two, and a private terrace garden where the couple can host get-togethers.

Saif Ali Khan's Pataudi Palace

Nawab Mohammad Mansoor Ali Khan Siddiqui Pataudi's son, Saif Ali Khan re-acquired his ancestral home located in Pataudi, Haryana, in 2014 from Neemrana Hotels. The expansive 10 acre property holds seven dressing rooms, seven bedrooms, seven billiard rooms, lush green lawns, and a lot more! Valued at a whooping 800-crore, the Kapoor and Khan family are often seen relaxing at the ancestral abode. In fact, Taimur Ali Khan's first birthday was celebrated at the Pataudi palace in 2017.
