Bella Hadid is *finally* back and making a case for the knitted twin-set

For most of us, the week before Christmas is the perfect time to hang up our glad rags and start hunkering down into a sort of cosy, pyjama-clad festive hibernation that lasts all the way up until New Year’s Eve (if not longer…). Not so for Bella Hadid, however, who this past weekend *finally* re-emerged into the streets of NYC, following months of keeping a deliberate low profile due to ongoing health issues.

And oh, how glad we are that she is back—and looking better than ever, might we say. We’ve seriously missed seeing her always-stylish outfits, whether that’s her signature high-glam red carpet looks, off-duty sportswear ensembles, or fashion-forward street style ‘fits. And the outfit she chose for her first public sighting certainly didn’t disappoint.

Stepping out in New York on Sunday [December 17th], the model looked cozy and chic all at the same time in a gorge grey knitted co-ord set that we just can’t seem to get out of our heads…

Hadid's weekend look consisted of a sleeveless, longline grey cable-knit jumper, worn over matching flared trousers with black leather boots, a coordinating bag and her signature small sunglasses. And when temperatures fell further in the evening, the model added a black leather biker jacket on top for extra warmth and changed into glasses too.

Is it just us, or is Bella’s cable-knit set giving Jane Norman circa 2013?!?! Now there’s a sentence we never thought we’d say in relation to any supermodel… But there’s no denying that the Noughties high-street brand could very well have stocked a similar co-ord back in the day. In fact, we’re pretty sure we owned a few Jane Norman longline sleeveless jumpers of our own, with the collar worn unbuttoned and across the shoulder too, obvs. Should we take this as a sign to dig them back out for 2024...?
