Breaking down Selena Gomez's outfits in her new music video "Love on"

Selena Gomez is back! The pop star graced our screens with her brand-new single, "Love On", which was released on February 22, 2024.

The captivating music video and song lyrics are a nod to her love affair with Paris, making several references to the City of Love. The star has also been actively posting pictures of her in Paris, dropping hints about the new single. And we're not complaining because doesn't she look like a dream? 

But beyond the catchy tune and sensual lyrics, it's the fashion that truly steals the show. The singer, actor, and entrepreneur transforms into a Parisian muse, rocking seven stunning outfits that perfectly complement the song's mood.

Channelling her inner Barbie

The video opens with Selena in a show-stopping hot pink dress with a dramatic black bow, channelling Parisian elegance. This goes to show that SG can pull off anything! 

Parisian chic 

The scene cuts to a blue halter dress, sitting outside on a balcony with the ocean glistening behind her. She topped the outfit with a blue floral hat, which looked absolutely gorgeous! She’s definitely rocking the French girl look in that dress.

One of our favourite looks was that of Gomez wearing a glittery, black strapless, figure-hugging dress which she paired with a matching hat. It's giving us Parisian chic!

Walking into an ornate ballroom, Gomez makes a regal entrance in a sleeveless gold dress. She accessories the outfit with white gloves, which add a touch of sophistication and class, whilst complementing the dress's shimmering details.

Just when we thought Selena couldn't outdo herself, she throws another fashion curveball in the "Love On" video, trading elegance for fun in this vibrant, striped minidress. A black headband and a dazzling, chunky necklace complete the look.

Gomez goes back to graceful elegance as she dances away in a room full of ballerinas in a pretty white dress that spins around her knees and a big white bow in her hair. She even has cute red ballet shoes to complement the look in a fun contrast!

Towards the end of the music video, Selena Gomez is seen standing on a balcony wearing a chic Victorian-French yellow gown at dusk. She also holds an umbrella with arrows poking through, which are a playful nod to Cupid's arrow, the mythical symbol of love.
