Emma Watson Wins the First Gender-Neutral Award

And needless to say, it left us all inspired!

Its like Emma Watson is the epitome of what we call, a 'Rebel With a Cause'. From promoting education for girls, worldwide to raising issues of gender equality and famously calling on men to fight for it, Emma Watson is one compelling woman!

She took home the scintillating Popcorn bucket on Sunday for her portrayal of Belle in "Beauty and the Beast," and her acceptance speech left us all feeling inspired and lets just say...even more fond of her.

This year, MTV made all their award categories genderless, i.e no male and female category, and Emma Watson took the moment to speak about the first ever gender-neutral award in her acceptance speech.

"Firstly, I feel I have to say something about the award itself. The first acting award in history that doesn't separate nominees based on their sex says something about how we perceive the human experience," she said.

"MTV's move to create a genderless award for acting will mean something different to everyone. But to me, it indicates that acting is about the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes. And that doesn't need to be separated into two different categories," she added.
