If you thought the buzz around the Wedding of the Year would end with the rustic, Italian fairy-tale set-up, you're wrong. Netizens just can't get enough of #Virushka and every li'l detail about their wedding functions is going viral!
From pictures of their honeymoon to the invitation of their Delhi reception, seems like December will be mostly about the marital bliss of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.
After reports of their weather-induced panic moments in Tuscany, Italy, excerpts from an interview of Anushka Sharma's hairstylist Gabriel Georgiou came up, who talked about styling her for the D-Day.
"For her wedding rituals, Anushka wanted a look which was both minimal yet sophisticated. We went easy with her hair when it was open and when it was tied up, we decided to keep it extremely elegant and set so that it lasts for the entire day/night.
The idea was to make her look like an Indian princess, looking beautiful in pastels right out of a fairytale with a modern twist to it. The way all those pastel flowers were placed made the entire look, all the more ethereal.
The wedding day look obviously took the longest as everything was supposed to be perfect and even then, we took just about a couple of hours. Anushka has to be the calmest bride that I have ever worked with."
Anushka's bridal look was a stunning masterpiece that was a result of many talented artistes pooling their creativity, and yes, it managed to come close to the dreamy look every bride-to-be wants for herself.
Also, some photos from the wedding after party surfaced online. Check out an extremely goofy groom in these photos!
While the newlyweds are honeymooning in Finland, their families are back in the country and prepping for their upcoming wedding receptions in Delhi and Mumbai.
We've already had a glimpse of the wedding card of the Delhi reception, and the innovative design and thought behind the elaborate invite has caught everyone's eye.
Their wedding planner Devika Narain had revealed that both Virushka had gifted anthology of Rumi poems as wedding return gifts and went on to add, "Anushka and Virat are extremely spiritual people, I don't know how many people know this about them. She wanted everything to be about growth and prosperity, so the whole wedding was in fact inspired by the idea of an overgrown garden."
Anushka and Virat chose the greetings to be set in gold on acrylic with pastel hues and floral as the theme. The invite was paired with handcrafted chocolates and truffles from a boutique along with a sapling as a memento of their ever-growing love, beautifully placed to reveal their environment-friendly side!
The Mumbai Reception will take place on 26th December at the St. Regis, and expects to see all the who's who of the film frat in attendance. We can't wait for the pictures from both these events!
