Shah Rukh Khan Just Proved Why He's Called 'King Khan'!

Just ask the people of Chennai. Oh, and Twitter!

So Twitter did a round up of #TheYearThatWas and basically singled out all that made hashtag news around the world. From #JeSuisParis to #CaitlynJenner, a lot happened this year. Here's a video that sums it up:

In India too, there were the #DelhiElections, the match between #IndiaVSPak, and of course #ChennaiRains. But the tweet that had the most number of views and retweets (that's 140,000 retweets and 18.3 million views) was by none other than Shah Rukh Khan. Remember when he posted a selfie with former One Direction member Zayn Malik? Ya, that one.

So, of course SRK was crowned with The Golden Tweet, proving that not only does he rule Bollywood, but he seems to own Twitter as well.

But here's the other thing. He won the Golden Tweet, yada yada, we're all very proud, but he did something else that's more important. Check it out:

That's one crore rupees that he donated in case you didn't read that! And it's the best news I've read so far about Chennai. Wonder what the haters have to say about this now.

There's a reason why he's called the King of Bollywood, people! Any other celebrities willing to make a hefty donation?
