VPOTUS, Kamala Harris opted for a full look by the 2020 CFDA American Emerging Designer of the Year, Christopher John Rogers. She went on to accessorise her look with pearls by Puerto Rican-American designer Wilfredo Rosado. She also adorned a David Yurman lapel pin featuring the American flag, and Manolo Blahnik heels with the double-breasted royal purple coat and dress. Beyond making a major fashion statement, Kamala's choice of colour seems to be a gentle nod to the Women's Suffrage movement.

Michelle Obama

Former first lady, Michelle Obama stepped out in a deep plum set by designer Sergio Hudson. The look consisted of a long overcoat, layered over a turtleneck jumper, wide-leg trousers and a statement buckle belt. She also wore black leather gloves, Stuart Weitzman suede boots, and a black face mask to bring the entire look together.

Hillary Clinton

On Inauguration day, Hillary Clinton opted for a bright purple Ralph Lauren pantsuit, paired with a ruffled scarf, an aubergine coat and a black face mask.
