We took the battle of the best-dressed to the streets (mindful of social distancing, of course) and your homes, and were so impressed by your style picks.

“I love the sheer elegance of a monotone outfit. Here, I’m wearing a button-down dress in black, cinched at the waist. Wanting to incorporate a runway favourite this year—straw accessories—as well as add some colour, I have teamed the dress with a hot-pink bag and a pair of white wedges.”

Mansi Saluja, 25

“I am wearing a multi-hued, striped bandeau top with high-waist pants. To offset the bold colours, I have added a beige jacket. The pastel sunnies and fuchsia micro bag add a hint of fun.”

Shreya Singh, 23

“Sweatpants are the new skinny jeans! I wanted to keep my outfit casual with the addition of chic accents... So, I have finished the basic sweats-and-a-tee look with a pair of super-high heels, striped bag, and classic, round sunglasses.”

Shrutika Gavhane, 20

“Co-ord sets are the easiest way to look effortlessly stylish. I have teamed a halter-neck crop top with cycling shorts. The blazer keeps things from seeming casual, while also lending a touch of elegance. I have kept the make-up and accessories minimal, going for just a pair of hoops and soft curls that frame my face.”

Riddhi Agrawal, 20

“Anti-fit is major right now. I have tried to channel the trend with the help of these baggy jeans, worn with a crop top and jacket. The chunky white sneakers further showcase my idea of comfort dressing, which I have rounded up with a big-right-now mini-handbag and my favourite shades.”

Sonali Singh, 23

“I’m a print-happy person. Here, I have styled a printed, button-down shirt (that I’ve tucked-in for some extra fun) with high-waisted trousers, emanating a simple-yet-playful vibe. Sticking to earthy tones, I finished the look with a brown sling and a pair of white sneakers, both complementing my shirt perfectly.”

Devika vinayek, 20

“An eternal fan of neons, I wanted to make my bright orange sweatshirt the star of this look. I teamed it with cycling shorts, and finished up with a mini bag and sunglasses...all in black, for a more cohesive feel. I threw on a pair of bubblegum pink sneakers (another favourite!) to add a dash of colour.”

Harshita Rathore, 24

“T-shirt dresses are my forever go-tos...and this one, in a cool black-and-white print, is one of my favourites. I’ve layered it with a denim jacket, and added calf-length socks with sneakers to the mix to accentuate the casual vibe.”

Shagun Mandhania, 22

“Pantsuits may be eternal, but short-suits are here to stay, too. And they’re so much fun! I have paired mine with a contrasting, black top. To accessorise the look, I’ve opted for a link-chain necklace and futuristic sunnies, both of which add a quirky element without stealing the focus from the suit.”
