Paris Haute Couture Week witnessed the perfect blend of traditional Indian heritage and contemporary designs

There’s something truly magical about Paris Haute Couture Week Fall-Winter 2023-24. From iconic moments on the ramp to even more momentous ones off it, couture week was filled with exceptional craftsmanship, a relentless effort towards innovation and exquisite ensembles. Hosted amid architectural marvels such as the Carrousel Du Louvre and Grand Palais and with a history that traces back to the early ‘40s, Paris Couture Week is one of the most awaited affairs in the world of fashion. Presenting his work for a second time this year, Indian designer Rahul Mishra collaborated with the home-grown jewellery brand, Tanishq, which recently unveiled its collection of rare and precious diamonds and coloured gemstones, #TalesOfMystique. With the launch of this collection, the brand also announced its grand debut at the Haute Couture Week, Fall-Winter 2023-24 in Paris. 
 

Aptly titled ‘Tales of Mystique,’ the collection draws on the architectural beauty of the royal places of Rajasthan and the state’s many cityscapes. The sixty, exquisitely created pieces of jewellery reflect the intricate nuances of these heritage sites, translating the allure of grand jharokhas, arches, domes and staircases of Mehrangarh Fort, Amer Fort and Jaswant Thada. The collection aspires to transport the wearer back to yesteryear and give a glimpse of the royal glories of the past. 

With contemporary silhouettes and an eye-catching colour palette, each jewel has been crafted in three dimensions and sculpted to exude the regalness of it all. The collection uses a combination of unique design elements, semiprecious colour-stones with brilliant and fancy cut diamonds set in 18k gold. Each piece captures the soul and essence of each palace.
