They say that the eyes are a window to your soul, but it seems that your other facial features can reveal a lot about you as well. Take your lips, for example. Lipsology is a relatively new pseudoscience that claims a direct relation between the shape of your lips and your personality traits. Jilly Eddy, the world's first lipsologist (yep, it’s actually a thing) after studying lip prints for over 3 decades, put forward this theory that had many people nodding in a agreement. Apparently there are four key areas that you need to take into account, identified in the bellow picture.
Now, based on this, the following are the most common lip shapes and the personalities their owners possess.
1. Heart-shaped Lips:
People who have heart-shaped lips tend to be strong-willed and independent. Women who have such lips, and even most men, are more likely to be glamorous, witty and passionate. (Think Marilyn Monroe vibes) Heart- shaped lips reveal a creative, artistic and energetic personality.
2. Round Lips:
Round lips indicate a charismatic and adventurous streak. People with such lips are usually confident and risk takers. They can sometimes be strong headed to a point of being foolhardy, and need to look before they leap, especially when it comes to career choices.
3. Thin Lips:
These lips usually indicate a non-social personality and someone who likes to stay in control. They are known to have a high drive to succeed and can be ruthless to get there. They have a soft side that they rarely reveal, and can tend to be closed off to letting people in.
4. Goldilocks Lips:
These lips are neither too thin nor too thick; they don’t have a very pronounced Cupid’s bow either. People with these lips are usually quite undemanding and levelheaded. They tend to be logical and rational, considerate of other people’s feelings and make good life partners. So, consider it good news if BAE has Goldilocks lips, they might just be a keeper!
5. Wide Lips:
People with wide lips are usually, friendly, extroverted and non-conformist. They make good leaders, and are driven by perfection. Such people have an extroverted nature and are good at making friends. They also have leadership potential and are driven to be perfect.
6. Plump Centre:
These lips are more thick and full at the center, especially on the upper lip. Such people are natural performers and enjoy being the center of attention. They can also be very dramatic and their relationships. They love to be pampered by, especially their SOs.
7. Full lips:
Evenly and naturally plump on both top and bottom, this lip shape indicates that you are an empathetic individual with strong parenting instincts. People with this lip shape (think Angelina Jolie) harbor an innate desire to safeguard and protect the ones they care about. They like to maintain a close circle of friends and value relationships above all else.
