Ticket To Paradise

If a movie starring Julia Roberts and George Clooney doesn’t already scream feel-good, we don’t know what does. Ticket To Paradise is about an ex-couple who race to Bali to stop their daughter from marrying a seaweed farmer. They set traps to sabotage the wedding (like hiding the rings, for instance) but the constantly quarrelling duo eventually find themselves rekindling the old feelings. A feel-good movie in every sense of the term, you’ll find yourself hooked and not only because of how sizzling Mr Clooney looks.

Through My Window

If Taylor Swift’s You Belong With Me music video would’ve been turned into a movie, it would be Through My Window. Based on a book by Ariana Godoy, what makes the Spanish movie a good at-the-end-of-a-long-day watch is its rom-com but rooted in reality vibe. It tells the rather convoluted love story of Raquel and her longtime crush on her neighbour, Ares. Eventually, despite his family’s objections, he develops feelings for her too. The rest, as they say, is history.

Eternally Confused and Eager for Love

One of the most underrated shows of 2022, Eternally Confused and Eager for Love (yes, the name is a mouthful) is worth a watch. The miniseries revolves around Ray, a perpetually anxious and socially awkward 24-year-old who is guided by an imaginary wizard, Wiz. He sets out on a quest to get out of his own way and find himself a girlfriend. The show is refreshingly funny and just what you need to lift your spirits out of a dump.

The Sex Life of College Girls

We are suckers for a good coming-of-age show. Especially one that is helmed by Mindy Kaling. And The Sex of College Girls is just that. It tells the story of four roommates attending the New England liberal arts college. The four freshmen band together to navigate their newfound independence, relationships, finances and of course, sex. And the best part? This show has just been renewed for its third season!
