Dance movies have their own ways of sparking joy. Be it the kindling romance between the lead pairs as they waltz looking at each other or the drama that ensues from teams competing at dance shows, feuds between rivals, bone breaking hard work, petty politics, heartbreak… Each movie comes with a heavy dose of entertainment. The movie had all the trappings of a classic hit. A pretty teenaged girl, a suave dance instructor, a scenic location and a disapproving wealthy family. The romantic saga of Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze), the dance instructor at an uppity resort and Frances “Baby” Houseman (Jennifer Grey), the girl holidaying at the resort has some memorable dance sequences that you can practice with bae.
