Beauty enthusiasts were in for an absolute treat recently as Nykaaland made its long-awaited debut in Mumbai. With two full days of all things glam, the beauty fest was brimming with internationally coveted brands as well as renowned home-grown ones, all under one roof. What’s more, the event was further boosted by workshops by celebrity makeup artists, dermatologists and beauty entrepreneurs as well as many fun activities and plenty of freebies! 

A haven for beauty lovers, right? Well, take that and level up as the House of Lakmē lounge at Nykaaland took the beauty experience to a whole new level, with a space that promised to make you feel your glamorous best! Whoever walked into the House of Lakmē booth was in for a stunning personalised makeover. While the Lakmē experts created personalised makeup looks, people had the chance to amp up the glam factor by getting styled by Cosmopolitan India’s stylists. This also marked the first time Lakmē and Cosmo, pioneers in the beauty and fashion space, joined forces to create experiences that make you feel festive-ready! You simply cannot walk into the lounge, and walk out, not looking like a 10/10. 

The lounge also seemed to have understood the assignment, because we know what a waste of a good look it is, without getting a bunch of amazing photo-ops!

There was an Insta-worthy mini ramp to channel your main character energy and flaunt your shimmering look on the ‘gram. The lounge was a total success as style enthusiasts got their dose of glitter and glam at Nykaaland from this very space. 

And if you think that is all, there’s more because you can expect the House of Lakmē to create unparalleled beauty experiences. There was an exclusive masterclass ‘Giltter Up with Lakmē’ with celebrity make-up artist Daniel Bauer, who’s known for creating magic on the red carpet as well as on the runway. He showed the audience how to create the surreal, galaxy-inspired Cosmic Sparkle look with his muses Lisa Haydon and Kirandeep Chahal. The enchanting blue-and-gold make-up look was created using Lakmē’s all-new Glitterati collection—Absolute Luminous Skin Tint Foundation in Warm Beige, the Explore Eye Paint in Glittering Gold Dust, the Shine Liner in Daring Blush, and the Shine Line Lipstick in the shade Coffee Queen. 

The result is perfect for the festivities and will make sure you look (and feel!) like a star at every party this season. 

The audience also had an exciting time attempting to set a Guinness World Record for most people applying eyeshadow simultaneously. Later, Bauer answered a few burning beauty questions, revealed his best-kept industry secrets, and shared the Lakmē must-haves that he can’t do without. 

On the fashion side of things, Cosmo India’s stylists had a rack full of stunning outfits from refreshing labels such as Bae Club, Sav Lamba, Zae Label, Rae, Frisky, Warping Theories, House of Soh by Sohanna Sinha, Cilvr—resulting in styles that could perfectly complement Lakmē’s gorgeous beauty looks. 

All-in-all, festival-goers at Nykaaland, got a whole new level of beauty and style experiences, as the House of Lakmē brought along a convivial vibe of fun, novelty and learning opportunities from the very best.
