Here are the 19 craziest hair color trends from this year, listed in no particular order because really, how could you rank these? They're all so magical and awesome.

1. Sand Art HairTo get sand art hair, the stylist parted the hair in horizontal zigzags and colored each section a different super-saturated shade every 3 inches for the sand art effect.

4. Contoured HairHair contouring is basically balayage (a freehand highlighting technique that requires you to paint on the color) done strategically to flatter each individual's features — just like makeup contouring.

5. Oil-Slick Hair

Oil-slick hair is intended to look like an iridescent gasoline spill on the ground and is great for people who naturally have dark hair but don't want to bleach their hair.

6. Hand-Pressed Color

The hand-pressed technique is when the stylist paints different patterns like circles, diagonals, and swirls onto a sheet of plexiglass with different shades of color, and then presses it onto your hair with a putty knife.
