Archie's Christening Photos Included the Sweetest Tribute to Princess Diana

Earlier today, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had a private ceremony for Archie's christening, and according to royal reporter Omid Scobie, there were 25 guests (including the godparents) and members of the St George’s Chapel Choir sang at the ceremony. While Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip didn't attend, other members of the royal family were there, including Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Charles, and Duchess Camilla.

Harry and Meg released two photos from the ceremony earlier today, and one is an intimate black and white portrait of the parents with their son:

While the other is a family portrait with Meg's mom Doria Ragland, Will and Kate, and Charles and Camilla. What's super sweet about this photo is that Meghan and Harry found a way to honor Harry's late mother Princess Diana by including her sisters in a photo—Lady Jane Fellowes, who is standing next to Doria, and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, who is standing next to William:

This isn't the first time that Meg and Harry have subtly paid tribute to Princess Diana. In their Mothers Day post earlier this year, Meghan posed with Archie in front of forget-me-nots, which were reportedly Diana's favorite flower.

 

 

Megan and Harry also thanked the public when they released the photos from the christening, writing, "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son. They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment."
