Jennifer Lopez Just Gave Us A Lesson In The Art Of The Casual Ponytail
Ponytails aren't as simple as they seem, amirite? For me, they tend to sit a bit flat and limp. And don’t even get my started on how many attempts it takes to achieve one without any bumps (unless a messy look is what you’re going for, ofc).
Nowadays, everybody seems to be rocking suuuuper tight ponytails, too. In fact, Hailey Bieber revealed that the ponytail she wore to The Met Gala a few years ago was so tight that it left her with a bald spot.
But after seeing Jennifer Lopez’s slicked back ponytail, I’m determined to master the art of this seemingly simple hairstyle.
In a new Instagram post, the singer’s hair has been scraped back into a tight high ponytail. In another picture, she's rocking a subtle middle-parting (we told you middle-partings + updos were a big trend atm) with laid edges.
J-Lo gave fans a closer look at her hairstyle on Instagram Stories. Wearing a colourful shirt that reminded me of that iconic green Versace dress, the singer poses for the camera with her sleek and chic ponytail, which was created by her hairstylist Jesus Guerrero.
Of course, J-Lo looks incredible with any hairstyle, from a wet look updo and Barbie glam to a Royal-inspired updo and big bouncy blowdries. But sometimes, it’s nice when celebs rock a simple hairstyle that we can attempt at home ourselves.
Now, if we could just try to master her makeup looks, too...
