It may have been held for the very first time in Asia, but taking into account the enthusiasm that a resounding 60,000 music lovers brought to the recently-held Lollapalooza, music festivals in India certainly don’t get any bigger and better than this. A fabulous set of 40 international and Indian acts that played at the festival dropped one chartbuster after another and got everyone grooving across four stages and delivered over 20 hours of unforgettable live music. And amidst all this hustle and bustle was a haven for every denim enthusiast and festival goer- the Levi’s Tailorshop.

Where there’s music, there is fashion, and trust Levi’s to lead from the front in this regard. Pieces like the Levi’s 501 jeans and shorts, Trucker jackets and classic logo tees- these have always been wardrobe staples , worn by artists , fans and music lovers all over the world. An immersive experience that merged the best of music and fashion- the Levi’s Tailorshop was a must-visit for every festival goer!

A hub for creativity, customization and culture– the Tailorshop had something for everyone – the young, the old and everyone in between.  Each one of them, with their energy and gusto perfectly matched the creative vibe of the tailors, screen printers, and 12 remarkable artists from across the country.

In today’s times, customisation is crucial to self-expression and Levi’s catalysed that through their unique Tailorshop setup. Curated in partnership with Aaquib Wani Designs, the incredible artist collective featured Mehak Malhotra, Mira Malhotra, Gaurav Basu, Priyesh Trivedi, Santanu Hazarika, Neethi, Preetal Dongre, Aaron Pinto aka Kidsquidy, Sajid Wajid Sheikh, Shweta Sharma and R Ventakraman that enabled fashion and denim lovers to experience personalization at its artistic and creative best.

Each artist created three designs, leaving customers to choose from a variety of 36 designs. Levi’s merchandise like T-shirts, sweatshirts and jackets , serving as a blank canvas for customization, as customers were able to truly make it their own via a plethora of techniques including heat press designs, screen printing or cloth panels.

Sharing his thoughts about the Levi's Tailorshop and the experience that it aimed to present one and all, Aaquib Wani said, "You've got everything here—stickers, panel designs, and street-print artwork. There is so much variety to choose from. The highlight of these designs is its exclusivity; you will never see or get these designs elsewhere. And that's what stands out." Wani talks about how he came about creating these designs, each a canvas of self-expression. "Honestly, for me, the core idea was of a music festival. We had to tie Lollapalooza with Levi's through music. It was important to showcase what Lollapalooza stands for. The biggest challenge for me was to narrow down the number of artists to 12. The country has such a diverse range of talent."

There were a host of quirky designs at the Levi’s Tailorshop that channeled the best of music festival fashion- be it pop culture- designs, or even unique prints inspired by music & art. With artists such as Shantanu Hazarika, Mira Malhotra, and Mehak Malhotra, among others, who were inspired by the joy of music, Levi’s celebrated culture and a multitude of music genres.

While the excitement on the ground was at its peak, the Levi’s Lounge took the exhilaration to the next level—quite literally. A flight of stairs took you to their open-air lounge, where a host of influencers and digital content creators including Krishen Rayat, Sakshi Shivdasani, Agasthya Shah, and Meghna Kaur and more were rocking their limited-edition Levi’s Tailorshop-picked outfits. Offering a panoramic view of the entire festival, the lounge served as the ideal spot to soak in the festival experience.

Offering each one a terrific treat, the unique Levi’s experience went beyond music and tapped into a celebration of art, fashion, culture and much more, the adrenaline rush that one got truly made the very first Lollapalooza an unforgettable event!
