But, as actors are usually styled by professionals, it always proves a little tricky to get the same look.

However, Meghan being Meghan, has always been real with her fans and has shared many of her beauty secrets with us, as she would do her own makeup. In fact, even as a royal, the Duchess insists on doing her own makeup (unlike most other royal ladies). And you just need to see the photos to understand just how good Meghan is with a makeup kit.

So, we decided to take a look inside Meghan Markle’s makeup bag and see just how the actor-turned-royal achieves those flawless, subtle, ‘no makeup’ makeup looks.

1. Go light on the foundation

Meghan’s iconic natural look has a lot to do with the fact that she doesn’t use a lot of foundation, and prefers to leave her freckled skin untouched. She likes to apply a very light foundation on certain sections of her face, rather than her entire face.

 

2. Highlighter is everything

It’s evident that the Duchess loves her highlighter, and has even said as much in previous interviews. Even if you’re not going for a full makeup look, dab a little highlighter to elevate your cheekbones and give your face that extra glow.

 

3.  Use a warm blush for a natural glow

Meghan loves to use a soft pink blush, to give her face a clean, soft look. You can use a light pink or coral blush to get the same, natural effect.

 

4. Get that sparkle in your eye

If you look at any photo of the Duchess, you’re instantly drawn to her eyes. And that’s not just because she seems like a genuinely warm person, but also because of her secret makeup hack. She revealed that she uses a touch of shimmer powder at the ends of her eyes to add extra sparkle to her eyes, even if she doesn’t have eyeshadow on.

It’s no secret that Meghan prefers nude lip colours, that perfectly round off her ‘no-makeup’ look. She shared that her favourite shade is a taupe nude, which she even wore for her engagement photos.
