The One Makeup Step Kylie Jenner Never Skips

If there's one celebrity who shares our love of makeup, it's Kylie Jenner.

While Kim Kardashian will always be our original muse, we know from Kim's confessions that she doesn't actually like doing her makeup herself, and tbh if you have Mario Dedivanovic at your disposal why would you.

Kylie however, LOVES doing her own makeup and other peoples. Which is why Kim called on her skills when she had to make an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's The Tonight Show via Zoom at the beginning of lockdown.

Whenever Kylie does a tutorial we always pick up a new tip, like her mascara recommendation for only wearing brown on your bottom lashes, not black.

Thanks to Poosh, we now know the one step that Kylie never skips, that is a big part of her signature look.

All the sisters have now shared their makeup routine videos, so Poosh compiled a list of their top tips, including the one thing Kylie does every single time she does her makeup.

“It’s important to bake after your bronzer," Kylie said. "Every time I do my makeup, I bake. I love how baking looks. I think it really does help."

If you don't have a clue what she's talking, Kylie gave her own explanation of baking. "For anyone who doesn’t know what it is, baking actually is powder soaking into your skin and leaving a residue of colour. I’m trying to make my face lighter so it just shapes my face.”

Basically, Kylie leaves a layer of powder over areas of her face that she's highlighted with concealer (under the eyes and underneath her cheekbones). Leaving the powder on for a few minutes before dusting off makes the areas you've highlighted more prominent.

If and when we do start wearing makeup again, we'll be deploying this trick immediately.
