Ariana Grande rocks classic secondary school hairstyle in 'Legally Blonde' makeover, and fans are nostalgic

Between filming her anticipated role as Glinda in the upcoming movie Wicked, running her cosmetics empire r.e.m. beauty and working on new music (OK, we don’t actually know about the last one – but we can dream right?!), it’s fair to say that Ariana Grande is booked and busy. So, we love it when the singer pops up on our Instagram feed from time to time—and her latest post stopped us in our tracks.

In a video, which was posted to the r.e.m. beauty's Instagram account, Ari goes from makeup-free to Barbiecore glam in a matter of seconds. For the transition, which is backed to the iconic ‘bend and snap’ line from Legally Blonde, the singer can be seen starting off fresh-faced, before she bends down out of the shot and ‘snaps’ back, complete with a pink beauty look that Elle Woods would approve of. Side note: we need to try that glossy pink lip product ASAP.

While the post is all about the pretty makeup look, we can’t stop looking at Ari’s hair, too. For the video, she has slicked it back into a sleek half-up, a half-down hairdo that’s reminiscent of our secondary school days. Giving it an extra 00s feels, she’s added a side parting to the top half of her hair and the lengths have been styled with flicky ends.

Of course, fans inundated her post with comments, loving the look:

“her hairstyle omg 🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️”
“so cute 🥰🤍 forgot how much I love this hair on her ☁️✨”
“so stunning wtf”
“her hairstyle tho >>>>>”
“her blonde hair >>>>>>>”
“our g(a)lindaaaa, the prettiest of them all 💖🫧”

While some pointed out that the hairstyle reminded them of Ariana’s iconic 2014 album ‘My Everything’ and the equally iconic half-up hairdo she often sported at the time:

“it’s giving my everything era 🥰🥰🥰”
“the half up half down hairstyle brings me back to the yours truly / my everything era 🥲 i miss it”

BRB, just off to recreate this look.
