From blush and foundation to hair care and lip oils, these twist-up heroes are quietly rewriting our routines, favouring speed, ease, and zero mess over elaborate brush rituals. Consider this the beauty equivalent of a good shortcut: efficient, fuss-free, and oddly satisfying. Yes, the beauty stick revolution is very much sticking—and honestly, we’re not mad about it.

Pixi On-the-Glow Blush, ₹1,950

We’d swipe right on these paraben and cruelty-free blush sticks, quite literally. All you’ve got to do is twist and apply, for that effortless glowy sheen. Creamy and ever-so subtle, the sticks come in different shades to complement various skin tones (Fleur is a personal favourite for that subtle yet dewy finish). Packed with ginseng, aloe vera & fruit extracts, a single application goes a long way, without screaming “make-up” and offering a more natural look instead. Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Hydrating Foundation Stick, ₹4,800

I’ve been using this one for a few months now in shade 6, and let’s just say: Charlotte’s not kidding when she calls it “unreal”. A ring-light, highlighter and sheer tint all in one, it’s lightweight, hydrating and infused with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E for that snatched look. Less is more here with an application that takes minutes and radiance that lasts hours. 

indē wild Champi Oil Stick, ₹999

A rare find, this one’s for those transitional periods in between hairwash days, when it’s time to don a bun. But, indē wild has better plans. This product claims to be the first-ever Strength Stick and cleverly combines self-care with style. Simply glide it onto your tresses and watch as it effectively battles any frizz, dryness, and flyaways. Packed with amla, bhringraj, and hibiscus, it gets the difference between greasy and glossy, rooting for the latter, with its roots in Ayurveda. The best part? It’s slick, won’t stick and nourishes your hair all at the same time.  

Type Beauty Soak It Lip Oil Stick, ₹699

Type Beauty has achieved that sweet spot between a lip gloss and a lipstick, with these nourishing oils that are perfect for dry Decembers. I tried a few from the Soak It range, which offers six delicious shades (try Honey Haze for an everyday minimal look or Black Cherry for a night out). It does what it says, leaving you with hydrated lips (thanks to the tripeptides) and a glossy look sans the stickiness, with a slight tint for good measure. This one’s travel-friendly as a stick, but moreso for its thoughtful magnetic closure - a small step that makes a big difference.

The Skin Diet Company Blush Barrier Balm - Glow & Go Multistick, ₹899

This is one Indian brand that’s innovatively redefining the cosmetics industry with a superfood-led skincare approach. The adage “your skin, but better” is elevated here, as the skin not only looks naturally better but also feels better with vegans and clean ingredients. Take the multi-use blush barrier sticks, for instance, which offer just the right amount of flush for the cheeks, eyes and lips. Available in four different shades, I loved Tiara Tint which boasts the subtlest sweet scent, possibly courtesy of the kokum butter and collagen-boosting copper peptides in the formula.
