Video Calls to Zoom Conferences, Here's How to Create the Perfect Makeup Look

It's okay if you have lost track of days, weeks and months since we all began social-distancing. (It feels like 10 years, TBH).

During this time, when video calls and zoom conferences are our only link to the outside world, why should n't you put forward your best face? And well, get some practice mastering the oh-I-just-woke-up-like-this makeup looks for times when we are back outside again!

So, we spoke to beauty expert Stafford Braganza, national makeup artist for L'Oréal Paris, India to know all about creating the perfect *lewk*. 

For work video call or Facetime with bae... 

Stafford says, "As we try to adapt to a virtual lifestyle and carry out our routines from the comfort of home, we must make sure we continue to look our best over calls. I personally recommend a soft and subtle, yet radiant look to a perfect transition from an office call to a date night. To maintain a very natural look, you can replace the foundation with a highly pigmented concealer, I swear by the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Concealer, which will help cover dark circles, pigmentation and any uneven skin tone. Using a blush will instantly warm up your complexion, create the illusion of cheekbones and leave a beautiful flushed tint to your cheeks."

For a strong eye game

"Eye makeup is a very basic yet a significant part of any makeup look. It instantly grabs attention, enhancing one’s natural beauty. I think it’s very important to keep the eyelids prepped, with moisturizer and primer. Next step would be to select softer browns and more natural shades of eyeshadow and use a nice shadow brush to apply it across your eyes. Use a flatter brush to take the colour down to brush under your water line for that smudge effect. This followed by a touch of eyeliner on the lash line and finally build it up with loads of mascara to finish off a great eye," he says.
