The latest beauty news that's hotter than your flat iron

New launches, bold looks, and some serious drama—beauty just keeps getting better. Here’s everything you need to know, in one glossy update.

Trend alert: Berry girl makeup

Move over strawberry and peach, it’s the summer of the ‘Berry girl’. Spearheaded by (no surprises here) model and Rhode founder, Hailey Bieber, this trend leans a bit in the purple-y direction with plum, blackberry, and raspberry tones. Honestly, when will the fruity makeup trend end? No clue—but we’re here for every delicious shade.

New face for French glam

Jenna Ortega, the 22-year-old American actress, has been announced as Dior Makeup’s newest brand ambassador. The Wednesday star took to ’gram to say that she’s honoured to be one, and that there’s more to come. Are you already sat? We know we are!

Get your hair shield on

We already love K18 for their OG leave-in hair repair mask. But we’re about to love it even more (is that possible?), since the brand has launched a Damage Shield shampoo and conditioner in India, which is designed to protect hair from daily damaging elements, like UV rays, environmental aggressors, and mechanical styling.

Stop and smell your skincare

Who wouldn’t want to smell like the Indian night-blooming flower, Mogra? Ergo, Forest Essentials just came out with a Mogra range, which is made with natural ingredients—as they mostly are. The range includes shower oil, body cream, body milk, facial mist, body mist, and soaps. Smells like we’re about to spend our entire paycheck on this!

Stick it to the sun

If you’re someone who’s still looking for that perfect sunscreen (we get it, they can be quite gloopy and uncomfortable), you might want to head to Nykaa (that is if you haven’t already), because Supergoop is finally in India. You know, the brand that made sunscreen fun and wearable. Ring a bell?

Summertime sadness, bring it on

You are about to get some Princess Diaries-level glow up with Diptyque’s limited collection, the Summer Fruit Garden. It claims to capture the essence of sun-drenched days in its perfumes, care essentials, and artistic objects. At the heart of this collection is a sparkling eau de toilette, L’Eau des Hespérides (citrus-y and spicy). It also includes a lip oil, shampoo, cleansing hand and body gel, and body spray, among other sunny and summery things. Trés chic!
