Priyanka Chopra Is Also a Tech Investor Now!

God, is there anything Priyanka can't do? 

After shining her way to Hollywood, producing movies, making music, and being engaged to a cutie, Priyanka's life has an interesting new update! The tech industry is huge right now, and many celebrities have gone out of their way to invest in it, PC, too, has joined the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Ashton Kutcher.

The actress' investment in Holberton is part of an $8.2 million round of funding for Holberton that closed in April. She will join the company's board of advisers, and will emphasise support for Holberton's mission to educate people from underprivileged backgrounds. Her investments will skew heavily toward companies with an element of social impact, and companies founded by women, reports The Economic Times. 

Her other investment is in Bumble, a dating and social media app founded by Whitney Wolfe Herd. She plans to help promote Bumble's launch in India in the coming months, reported The New York Times. 

"I don't want to just be one of those people who's like, 'Yeah, I want to be on the tech bandwagon — how are they making so much money?' It's not about that," said Priyanka, who has been squeezing in meetings with tech start-ups to discuss future investments in between her travel and shooting. 

"Geeks are taking over the world. If they haven't already," she added.

In a recent conference, Ashton Kutcher, who's also a tech investor said, “If you want to have a job, you’ve got to do the work,” he said. “It takes time, and a ton of mistakes.”

Appreciating his approach, Priyanka said, “I’m extremely open to listening, learning, and absolutely dedicating a part of my life to this.”
