Taylor Swift recently underwent laser eye surgery and thanks to her mum, we've now got the hilarious video evidence to prove it.

The singer, 29, was left obsessing over a banana after getting surgery in a clip shared on Jimmy Fallon this week.

While promoting her new album Lover, the country star appeared to get a shock when the chat show host revealed he'd obtained a home video from Taylor's mum, Andrea, which was taken shortly after the operation.

The clip shows the hitmaker, who is wearing huge goggles at the time, deliberating over bananas and stressing out over picking the wrong one.

Later on in the video, Taylor's mum tells her not to eat a banana in bed.

However, the star was quick to snap back, saying: “I’m not asleep, my mind is alive.”

The clip left Taylor speechless for the rest of the interview.

“I’m sorry, I can’t think about anything else,” she said as Jimmy tried to move on with the next musical segment.

The hilarious clip comes weeks after the star, who is dating actor Joe Alwyn, announced she's set to host her own Lover festival.

Taylor revealed the news of the four special festival-style concerts alongside her worldwide 2020 tour announcement.

She wrote online: "The Lover album is open fields, sunsets, + SUMMER.

"I want to perform it in a way that feels authentic. I want to go to some places I haven’t been and play festivals. Where we didn’t have festivals, we made some. Introducing, Lover Fest East + West!"
