A Virtual Tour of Cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s Cozy Home in Sangli

Smriti Mandhana, the international cricket icon, has many laurels to her name. Smriti was adjudged the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year and the ICC Women's ODI Player of the Year in 2018 and she has been consistently performing well on the field. As a cricketer, she needs to be at the top of her fitness game as well as retain her calm at all times. And her haven for peace and recuperation is her home located in Sangli, in southern Maharashtra. Her  functional, fuss-free and minimalist home was built by combining two apartments on one floor. In season 4 of ‘Asian Paints Where The Heart Is’, a web series that gives a virtual tour of celebrity homes, we get a sneak peek into Smriti’s bright and airy apartment.

Muted brown tones and white make up the interiors. Textured walls with wooden shelves are dotted with numerous trophies that Smriti has won so far. The warm living room with a brown L-shaped sofa is where the family spends most of its time. The windows let in a lot of natural light, making the room look bright and cheery, a happy place where card games are played and random to relevant conversations are done. Smriti’s apartment also features a home gym, and simple studio for shoots. Her bedroom is like that of any other woman of her age. It shows her love for all things fashion. An open wall-to-wall closet brims with her clothes, bags, shoes and other accessories. A few of her framed photos mounted on the wall of the clean and clutter free room give it a personal touch. This looks like a place where Smriti does all her thinking and game planning.

Here are a few pictures and a video that will take you on a virtual  tour of her apartment.
