Kanye West Involves Himself in Kim K and Pete Davidson Break-Up

Even though Kanye seems to have refrained from being in the spotlight lately (post his Instagram suspension for violating the platform’s bullying and harassment policies on March 17), he has not hesitated in publicly disapproving his ex Kim Kardashian’s relationship with comedian and actor Pete Davidson since the beginning. The age difference between Kim, 41 and Pete, 28 is said to be the cause of the break-up, with both of them being at different points in their lives ATM.

As disclosed by the source to Page Six, a celebrity and entertainment news source, Kim was “exhausted” and that they did break up amicably due to the issues they were encountering due to distances and their busy schedules. Kim’s four children with Kanye West—North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm—have always been her top priority. The inside source said, “Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice. But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.”

While Pete is busy working on movies like Bodies, Bodies, Bodies (a comedy slasher film) and Meet Cute starring Kaley Cuoco, post his exit from Saturday Night Live, Kim is juggling between her multiple responsibilities at home and several businesses including her shapewear and loungewear brand, SKIMS. The reality star is said to be “totally exhausted by this relationship and other things going on in her life.”       

According to another disclosure Entertainment Tonight on August 6, 2022, a source stated, “They had tons of chemistry, and still do, but she kind of wants to be single and date. Kim still adores Pete and will always be friends with him. She still thinks he’s the nicest and sweetest guy in the world and there’s no drama or anything weird between them now. She felt like Pete was the extreme opposite of Kanye and it was good for her then. She initially thought it would be a fun fling, but then it got more serious when they were spending so much time together. Kim wasn’t feeling like she was willing to settle down with him just yet.”

The former couple seemed to have clicked on-set while shooting for Saturday Night Live back in Oct last year, where they essayed the roles of fairy tale characters Aladdin and Jasmine and even shared a stage kiss. Even though both of them made efforts to take time out for each other since they began dating, it appears to have become all too overwhelming to handle.

Kanye West responded to the split with a Photoshopped image of the New York Times front-page with the headline: “SKETE DAVIDSON DEAD AT AGE 28.” The Yeezy founder has been called out previously on numerous occasions for his harassment of Kim and this diss from him comes in the wake of the recent reports stating that finally Kim and he have started to co-parent their children with mutual respect and that they have overcome their disputes. According to US Weekly, Kim has confronted Ye for his insensitive post about Pete. A source revealed that Kim is furious and added, “It's another one of his outbursts and it's not a joke to her. She doesn't take his attacks lightly and demanded he take it down.”
