Touted to be one of the greatest actors in today's times, Rajkummar Rao has won accolades for films such as Bareily ki Barfi, Trapped and Badhai Do among several others. His marriage with actress Patralekha in 2021, filled our hearts, and made us all swoon and wish for a dreamy, fairytale wedding. In a conversation with Cosmopolitan India at the India Today Conclave 2022 in Mumbai, he got candid on confidence, his love language and how to make a relationship last.

Cosmopolitan India: What is the best piece of advice you've gotten?

Rajkummar Rao (RR): So, I trust people very easily, so someone once told me that trust everyone, but not blindly trust everyone.

Cosmopolitan India: What would you tell your 18-year-old younger self?

RR: That hey! It's all going to be fine. Don't worry, have fun!

Cosmopolitan India: What according to you makes a relationship last?

RR: Trust and friendship. You need to be best friends with your partner.

Cosmopolitan India: What is your love language?

RR: It's all in the eyes.

Cosmopolitan India: According to you what is the most important thing when it comes to men's grooming? 

RR: Keep it clean, don't keep it too dirty and just be who you are 

Cosmopolitan India: What do you think is the contribution of OTT in shattering gender stereotypes?

RR: I think it's great, it generates so much employment. We've seen so many women filmmakers, women DOPs, editors, and musicians. So many of them are coming up and making extremely wonderful films

Cosmopolitan India: What are your favourite travel destinations?

RR: Switzerland, London, Ladakh and South of Italy.

Cosmopolitan India: What are your top three films of all time?

RR: The Godfather, Forest Gump and Swades.

Cosmopolitan India: Where do you draw your confidence from?

RR: I don't know. I don't really feel too confident, so I think I'm still learning.
