Stranger Things actor Millie Bobby Brown writes a historical fiction book

Actor, entrepreneur, producer and now writer, Millie Bobby Brown is bagging new milestones every year! I mean what can she not do? After gaining immense popularity as Eleven in Strange Things, Brown has set out to launch her own historic fiction novel Nineteen Steps on September 12, 2023.

The soon-to-be-published author broke the news on her ‘gram and received a lot of love and support from her fan fam across the world. Based on the trials and tribulations of World War II, Nineteen Steps is about an 18-year-old woman called Nellie Morris who lives with her family in Bethnal Green, in London’s East End. After a tragic air raid accident, Morris’s life changes forever—and her true spirit of love and strength is what Brown has passionately written about. 

Brown says this book, revolving around the brave tales of Morris, is exceptionally special to her because it traces real-life stories from her family’s history. Having been very close to her grandmother, Brown wanted to incorporate her survival story through the Bethnal Green tube disaster in 1943. She covers one of the greatest tragedies in the United Kingdom and weaves a fictional story of courage and hope. 

Published by HarperCollins and edited by Liz Stein, Nineteen Steps is a moving tale of longing, loss and secrets, and everything people do, to fight for love. The novel releases this fall and we are not ready for what more the versatile actor has in store for us.
