Yup, you heard that just about right. Bollywood's who's who—and a handful of Indian blockbuster films—have managed to bag a place in the prestigious Guinness World Record, a reference book listing record-breaking accomplishments, both of human achievements and the extremities of the natural world, published annually. But, if you come to think of it, the Indian film industry generates the largest number of movies each year, and is one of the biggest industries in the world. So, the feat seems justified, no?
That said, a Guinness World Record is applause-worthy. Here's the exhaustive list of stars, and movies, that have done us proud.
Shah Rukh Khan
Of course, the King of Bollywood has to make it to the list. In 2013, the star who steals our hearts every time he's on-screen found his place in the Guinness World Records when he topped the Forbes list as the highest-earning Bollywood actor with estimated earnings of Rs 220.5 crore.
Sonakshi Sinha
The Dabanng actor, too, has been presented with this honour. Sonakshi bagged the Guinness World Record for participating in an event where women—1328 of them—painted their nails simultaneously during a nail painting competition held in 2016. A strange feat but a feat nonetheless!
Katrina Kaif
The recently-wed actor bagged a Guinness World Record the same year as Shah Rukh Khan, and for a similar reason. She was accorded the title of being the highest-earning female actor in the industry, with estimated earnings of Rs 63.75 crore.
Amitabh Bachchan
The Big B of Bollywood found his name in the Guinness World Records for becoming the only star to sing the devotional Shri Hanuman Chalisa, composed by Shekhar Ravjiani of the Vishal-Shekhar musical duo, along with 19 other renowned singers.

It all began with Prithviraj Kapoor, followed by Raj, Shammi, and Shashi Kapoor, to today's superstars Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. Collectively, the Kapoor family has given the industry more than 25 actors, and who knows, Taimur could be next in line?
