The Kissing Booth's Joey King is Engaged to Steven Piet After Two Years of Dating

Congratulations are in order for Joey King and Steven Piet, who publicly announced their engagement via Instagram today, after a month of putting a ring on it. The actor's boyfriend of two years chose to pop the question on 2/2/22, a date that was both a palindrome and an ambigram, a rare occurrence. "Hanging out with you forever sounds like a real dream, so let’s do it," The Kissing Booth star wrote in a heartwarming post.

Talking about love like never before, she went on to add, "I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy. I never knew that a person's presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you."

The couple has been dating ever since 2019 after they met on the sets of The Act, in which Joey played the role of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, and Steven was a producer. Then on, the two have been all things mush, all over social media. But wait, let's take a moment to appreciate King's gorgeous ring. The $30K stone was designed by Brooklyn-based jewellery company Mociun. Olivia Landau, Founder and CEO of The Clear Cut, told US Magazine, "The ring appears to be an elongated oval diamond, set east-west, on a gold band with a single epaulette and baguette stones on one side." She explained that a similar design, pending the quality of the stone, would retail for approximately $20,000 to $30,000.

Steven, too, took to Instagram to share his love for his fiancé. "The weather was less than perfect. Cold. Windy. Perfectly imperfect to ask my best friend to spend a lifetime together. A lifetime of incredibly safe and vulnerable conversations. Holding hands on silent cab rides home, exhausted from great food and red wine. And oh, the laughter. The uncontrollable laughter. You've unlocked a dimension of love in me that I never knew existed."

*sob* *sob*

We're not crying; you are. Congrats to the happy couple!
