Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough Welcome Twins, Jai and Gia, Via Surrogacy

Veteran actor Preity Zinta, and her husband Gene Goodenough, have been blessed with twin babies via surrogacy. The Veer Zaara star took to social media to make an official announcement, saying, "Gene and I are overjoyed, and our hearts are filled with so much gratitude and with so much love as we welcome our twins Jai Zinta Goodenough and Gia Zinta Goodenough, into our family. We are very excited about this new phase in our lives. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and our surrogate for being part of this incredible journey."

From Shilpa Shetty Kundra to Nargis Fakhri, Dia Mirza, and Abhishek Bachchan, several Bollywood celebrities took to the comments section of the post to congratulate the couple.

The interracial couple tied the knot on 29th February 2016 in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles, surrounded by their closest friends and family. For the ceremony, the bride donned a red Manish Malhotra lehenga, while Gene complemented her in a Raghavendra Rathore sherwani. Post the nuptials, the couple threw a reception party for their Bollywood contemporaries.

While Preity Zinta has been absent from the silver screen ever since her marriage, she is relatively active on social media. The celebrity recently completed 23 years in Bollywood and took to Instagram to share the accomplishment with her fans, celebrating a long tenure at the movies. She wrote, "Today, I celebrate 23 years in movies, and I must confess I’m a bit overwhelmed thinking about all those people that have contributed to my journey."

"I'm humbled and grateful to all of them for supporting me, challenging me, and for pushing me to become a better version of myself. A big and heartfelt thank you to all my colleagues, fans, and critics for pulling me up when I was down, and pulling me down when my feet left the ground," she added. Preity Zinta was last seen in the action-comedy film Bhaiaji Superhit (2018).

We hope Preity and Gene are all geared up for parenthood, and the joys that it brings with it.
