Vicky Kaushal opens up about the ‘pressure’ to give his family the ‘good news’ and more

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, who tied the knot in December 2021, have been giving us some serious couple goals and raising our expectations of what ‘happily ever after’ can look like. Fans of the couple are always on the lookout for what they’re up to and any news or anecdotes about their adorable love story. But this celeb couple is a lot more like you, me, or any other couple in an Indian family. In a recent interview, Kaushal broke his silence about feeling the 'pressure' to give 'good news'. He also got candid about ‘feeling odd’ when Kaif showed interest in him, back in the day. In fact, he also revealed who out of the two of them took the lead on the dinner menu at their wedding, in an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15.   

During the promotions of his upcoming film, The Great Indian Family on Radio City, the actor revealed the name of his Kaushal family WhatsApp group is 'Rocking Family' and the kind of conversations that happen on it.

On the same show, Kaushal then spoke about how he couldn’t come to terms with the fact that a star like Katrina Kaif was giving him attention and how he fell in love with her after getting to know her. “The first ones to know I was dating Katrina Kaif were my mother and father. I told them the situation isn’t so bad that they will get to know it from the paparazzi.” Speaking about feeling awkward and wondering why Katrina was showing interest in him, he said, “I had trouble coming to terms with that reality that I can. First, I used to feel odd getting attention from her. When I got to know the human side of her, I fell in love with her. When I got to know her, I was fully in love with her, and I knew that I would want to have her as my life companion.” 

In what offers a peek into their chemistry, Kaushal goes on to reveal something cute in an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 (to be aired tonight). In a promo, Vicky replies to a woman from the audience who asks him, “Who decided your wedding menu?” He says, “I had taken care of the breakfast menu because I had to make sure that chhole bhature and aloo paranthas were included. But Katrina took care of the dinner menu because for certain reasons Punjabis don’t really care what they are eating after 8:00 p.m.”

In another promo shared by the makers, Big B asks Vicky Kaushal if he has any strategy to play the game. On the show, Kaushal is paired with Manushi Chillar and replied in his signature cheeky manner, “First five questions we will somehow sail through, three questions will be taken care of by three lifelines. Then we have a Miss World among us, so she must have been trained in GK.” Big B gave a witty reply, “Bhaisaab, today’s game will begin from the sixth question.”
