Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone flew to Maldives to celebrate New Years with their families. As soon as the couple left for Maldives, the rumours of their engagement were all over the Internet. If rumours are to be believed, they were supposed to get engaged on Deepika's birthday, Jan 5.

This news put their fans into frenzy. But soon after the rumours exploded the Internet, Ranveer's manager cleared the air and shared that no engagement is going to happen anytime soon.

According to Spotboye, Deepika received 'special' gifts from Ranveer's parents on her birthday. A source revealed, "Deepika was gifted an expensive diamond set and a Sabyasachi sari by Ranveer's family. Her happiness knew no bounds. This was indeed a special occasion for the actress."
