Whoa! THIS is the Person Who Kareena Kapoor Wanted to Date, 16 Years Ago!

If there's a Bollywood actress that continues to win everyone's hearts—with her looks, sass, fit and healthy body, and her acting—you know who's being talked about.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who's never been afraid to speak her mind or dress the way she likes, has millions doting on her, and even her li'l baby, Taimur. The girl has the genes of Bollywood's first fam, the Kapoor clan and had started amassing fans ever since she stepped into the film industry.

Speaking of dating co-stars, Kareena was consistently denying rumours of seeing Hrithik Roshan before she was in a serious relationship with Shahid Kapoor, for 3 years. Kareena once made an appearance on Simi Garewal's popular talk show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal back in 2002, wherein she confessed something that would seem downright hilarious today, now that the actor is happily married to a Nawab (Saif Ali Khan).

At one point in the show, when in conversation with Simi, Kareena who in her twenties then, admitted that she was single then, and was heavily invested in her acting career. She even claimed that she was waiting for someone who would share the same thinking capacity as hers. It was then when Simi Garewal asked her that if she could pick anyone in the world for a date (at that time) who would she choose. And surprisingly, Kareena said,

"Shall I say this, I don't know if I should because I don't mind getting to know him, it's controversial… Rahul Gandhi. I'd like to know him, there's something I've been seeing his pictures in India Today and just kind of this flipping through and saying that what would it be like to have a conversation with him."

Further, she added, "And I come from a family with the lineage of films and he comes from a family with lineage of politics. So, maybe we'd make an interesting conversation."

While even the idea of it seems too hilarious and weird RN, we bet you would have reacted just like the host did, 16 years ago.

"Really?! that's very interesting!"
