This is How Priyanka Chopra Shut Down a Reporter Questioning Her Stand for Feminism

Now that's a kick*ss reply, PeeCee!

Priyanka Chopra, a global film-star, also known for her quick-wit and humour all thanks to her hilarious talk-show appearances and interviews, recently gave the world one more reason to look up to her—how to successfully shut down baseless and prejudiced questions, that may actually make your blood boil in rage! From roasting comedians, to even giving it back to popular talk-show hosts in for the cause of feminism, the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador definitely believes in standing up for women, and makes sure she airs it, out loud.

Chopra was attending the Global Education & Skills Forum in Dubai recently, where one of the questions thrown at her got her excited to give the reporter a piece of her mind. But what we love most about her, is how she dealt with the question in such a dignified, not to mention, humorous manner.

Here's what the disillusioned and highly ignorant media-person asked PeeCee:

"If suppose, due to some stupidity of a boy, a girl gives him a slap. As a feminist, I haven't seen you, ever, as a feminist, complaining against the abuse of a man. Where is your equality then? If God forbid, a man slaps a woman, it's considered a crime, and heavens fall down! But if on the screen, a girl slaps a man, where is your equality?"

Priyanka was notably enthused to answer the question, not just at the sheer stupidity of it, but to create awareness about this issue in the minds of those million other people who probably thought just like that reporter.

Her reply though, was kick*ss.

"Physiologically men and women are different. There is no debate about it. When we talk about equality and opportunity, we talk about cerebral opportunity. We are not saying we want to able to be like a 200 pound man and beat the shit out of somebody else. We are not saying that. We are saying that you give the ability to get the job, to be the CEO and no body questions when you're driven at 50 and have three children, how you managing, don't question me at all. That's what I am saying. I can be a CEO and a mother.”

To conclude, she said, "So when a girl slaps a man who eve teases her, he deserves it."

Here's the video footage of that interview —

While we cannot stop applauding Priyanka for her reply-on-point, we can't help but wonder at the ignorance that still persists amongst the minds of the people, despite such a magnanimous wave of feminism engulfing the world!
