Believe it or not, Priyanka Chopra's wedding celebrations are all set to kick off today with her Sangeet and Mehendi Ceremony, and excitement levels are at an all time high! Ever since the actor got engaged to singer Nick Jonas, people all over the world have been waiting for this day.
The couple is all set to get married in two ceremonies, a Hindu one and a Christian one that is said to be officiated by none other than Nick's dad, on December 1 and 2 as per reports. Due to a non-disclosure agreement by the couple, no pictures are coming through and phones are not even allowed on the premises. But that does not keep us from finding out all the deets, does it?
From what we know, Nick Jonas is said to be arriving at the venue in a horse-driven carriage. For the Hindu wedding, Priyanka will wear an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla outfit and Nick is wearing traditional Indian clothing. But what is actually special is Priyanka's wedding gown for the Christian ceremony, and there is a lovely story behind it.
According to an international publication, Priyanka's gown is being designed by none other than Ralph Lauren. The designer is not very famous for his wedding gowns because he has only designed three in his life - for his daughter, daughter-in-law, and niece. Here is a picture of his earlier work.
Isn't that just exquisite? We can't wait to find out what Priyanka's will look like, can you?
So why did he deicide to do Priyanka's wedding dress? Well, it seems like Lauren approached Priyanka himself with sketches of dresses because he wanted to be a part of her wedding journey. If you, like us, can't help but wonder why, a little trip down memory lane might help. Let's go back to the first time Priyanka and Nick stepped out in public together.
That's right! Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas walked for Ralph Lauren together as his guests at the Met Gala in 2017. A few months after that, the couple went public with their relationship. Because he was there from the start, Ralph feels that he has been a part of their love story and wants to continue the association. Isn't that just too awww for words? Excuse us while we melt into a puddle of mush. This wedding just keeps becoming more and more like a fairytale, doesn't it?
