Lilly Singh Just Became the First Woman of Colour to Host a Late Night TV Show

THIS IS NOT A DRILL PEOPLE!

You read right — Lilly Singh aka || Superwoman || has been named the successor to late night legend, Carson Daly's late night talk show. Her new talk show, A Little Late with Lilly Singh, makes her one of the few women talk show hosts on American network television, and the first woman of colour to host a late night show, which has always been a man's territory.

Lilly made the amazing announcement on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, along with Seth Myers:

This is excellent news, not just for Lilly (who is just 30 years old btw), but also a big win for the feminist movement at large — a young, woman of colour, with no traditional background in comedy, is ground-(and glass ceiling-) breaking. Go Lilly! Can't wait to tune in to the new show, soon!
