Anne Hathaway Gives Superhero-Meets-Joan of Arc in New Corset Pics

Whether you realise it yet or not, we're living through an Anne Hathaway renaissance. Yep, the woman who brought us decade-defining roles in the Princess Diaries and the Devil Wears Prada is currently entering a new era, unveiling new projects and revealing a new side as a red carpet-strutting fashionista.

Take her recent turn at the Cannes Film Festival, where she shut down the red carpet in an itsy-bitsy Gucci mini and looked radiant in a Mia Thermopolis-worthy custom Armani Privé gown, or her appearance at SXSW in a silver Versace cut-out dress. The 39-year-old actress has even been starting important conversations around fertility, opening up to The Wall Street Journal about her "complicated" feelings around motherhood, and getting real about her decision to quit drinking. We love a taboo-busting queen!

Most recently, she's won her heart via a seriously avant-garde appearance on the cover of Interview Magazine. The shoot sees her pose in a daring deconstructed Dior corset with a lace-up front, broad padded shoulders and plenty of buckles and straps: it's half American football player, half Joan of Arc, with a dash of superhero chic.
