#ThisJustIn: Maison Valentino All Set to Launch in India

Maison Valentino, most recently worn by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to the Cannes Film Festival, is all set to open doors in India. The Italian fashion powerhouse is being brought to our country by Indian luxury conglomerate Reliance Brands Limited under a long-term distribution deal. According to this agreement, a Valentino boutique will open in Delhi by the end of 2022 summer (so very, very soon!) followed by a flagship store in Mumbai.

Darshan Mehta, MD of Reliance Brands said in a statement, "Valentino needs no introduction in India. Founded by the legendary Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti, Valentino has gone through impactful creative evolution under the current Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli and CEO Jacopo Venturini heralding the brand into contemporary luxury while leveraging its heritage as the most established Italian Maison de Couture."

From womenswear and menswear to footwear and accessories, the luxury brand led by Pierpaolo Piccioli will be bringing its entire range to India. However, in Delhi, Valentino will open a 162 sqm store in DLF Emporio which will carry only the womenswear and a selected few pieces from the menswear. Don’t fret, the Mumbai store will house the entire range including Valentino Garavani accessories of the brand which carries shoes, bags, eyewear, scarves and ties. The Delhi store will mark the 213th store across 145 locations globally.

Darshan Mehta added, “The brand’s infectious romanticism, signature codes, and bold use of colour has strong resonance in India. This partnership will help make the brand more accessible to its Indian customers and build a new tribe of Valentino connoisseurs."

The brand recently unveiled its autumn/winter 2022 Valentino collection at Paris Fashion Week that was entirely pink and black. With its vibrant colours and diverse models, Valentino has become the pinnacle of Italian luxury fashion. We didn’t need another reason to shop, did we?
