United Colors of Benetton’s Spring Summer collection brings Italy to India

One of the largely loved Italian brands, United Colors of Benetton showcased their new collection at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai with great aesthetic and authenticity.  Along with the first display of the brand’s newest apparel collection, their global CEO, Massimo Renon and creative director, Andrea Incontri also attended the event. 

The evening began with an immersive aerial act, which was followed by the demonstration of their Spring Summer’23 collection. In an attempt to recreate the global headquarters of Benetton, Villa Minelli was highlighted as the background of the showcase. The audience was taken in by the décor and the efforts of the Benetton team to bring the brand’s ethos to the forefront. The collection displayed a wide range of outfits, from the brand’s classic silhouette to much bolder prints, in an attempt to fully incorporate Benetton’s diversity and creativity. 

Tuning to the beats of a summer song, soft pastels and bright colours were seen on the models as they walked the runway wearing outfits from the collection. Benetton also had Bollywood fashion icon Sanjana Sanghi as the showstopper for the evening. The silhouettes featured showcased a variety of themes such as Color Conversion, Poetic Sailor, Sunday Sunshine and Summer Fruit.

Similar to womenswear, the styles from the menswear collection also had familiar notes of freshness with a touch of functionality. Benetton’s latest collection continues to carry on its brand philosophy with a new take on summer wear in a more inclusive and fashionable way.
