This Is *The* Astrological Event of 2022

Feel something in the air? A major astrological event is happening that will set the course for the next 18 months. I'm talking about something called ~the Nodes of Destiny~, aka the lunar nodes. The Nodes aren't something physical, like a planet; instead, they're two points opposite each other in the sky that mark where the Moon's orbit intersects with the Earth's ecliptic (aka the path it takes around the Sun). And on January 18, the North Node is moving from Gemini to Taurus and the South Node is moving from Sagittarius to Scorpio—signs they haven't been in since 2004!

In astrology, the lunar nodes dictate the astrological energy that we will be working with for the next 1.5 years. The Nodes also set the signs and story for the eclipses that will occur over the next 18 months.

Simply put, the North Node represents the energy that we are moving into. It’s the place that we haven’t been before, reflecting our hesitancy in attaining our goals. The South Node represents the past life sentiments that we are still dealing with, as well as the habits and feelings that are easy to fall back on because they're familiar. Finding a balance between these two opposing energies is hard, but it's necessary in order to satisfy both parts of our karmic destiny.

When the North Node is in Taurus, the South Node is in Scorpio—Taurus's opposite sign. In fact, the lunar nodes work as a pair of opposites that move together in the same degree. For the next 18 months, the North Node in Taurus allows us to work smarter, not harder, and attain the financial prosperity we desire. Being confident in our bodies and living up to our own expectations will take work, but as long as we give it all we've got, then we can step into our own power. Beauty, luxury, indulgence, and decadence will prevail—and matters of the heart and romantic commitments will play a pivotal role in our lives. It’s time to give 100% to what and who we love.

The drawback is that we may exert our frustrations and anger more easily. Like the bull, which sees red when it becomes irked, our emotions can go from 0 to 100 mph in a matter of seconds.
