Back in 1969, something absolutely major happened for the LGBTQ+ community: the Stonewall Riots. A bunch of badass LGBTQ+ people and allies decided to rebel against a totally unfair police raid at an NYC gay bar called the Stonewall Inn and, in doing so, sparked the entire LGBTQ+ rights movement.

To celebrate that epic moment in history, every June is now Pride Month, aka all sorts of parades across the country, an endless amount of gorgeous rainbow outfits, and countless reminders to continue the fight the people at the Stonewall Riots started. The whole month is magical, and whether you’re a member of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally, there’s a good chance you’re commemorating the movement.
