'Emily in Paris' Season 2 Promises Fashion, Romance, Drama, and a Lot More—Here's a Glimpse!

We left off 'Emily in Paris' season 1 with Emily (Lily Collins) and Gabriele (Lucas Bravo) having shared an intimate moment at her apartment. Gabriele has decided to stay in Paris after receiving a handsome sum from Antoine (William Abadie) to invest in his restaurant Les Deux Compère. In the last scene, Emily receives a message from Camille (Camille Razat) that says, "I just heard from Gabrielle. He's staying in Paris."

Following the life of Chicago marketing executive, Emily Cooper, who is hired to provide an 'American perspective' at Paris' marketing firm Savoir, the Netflix original series manages to strike the kind of tonal balancing act that made Darren Star’s Sex and the City as fabulous. However, Netflix found itself at the receiving end of a fair share of backlash for promoting the show at the cost of cancelling other critically acclaimed series.

On 3rd May 2021, the makers of the show shared that they have resumed production of 'Emily in Paris' season 2, after a delay caused due to the pandemic.

Executive Producer, Darren Star revealed, "In season 2, Emily’s going to be more of a part of the fabric of the world she’s living in. She’ll be more of a resident of the city. She’ll have her feet on the ground a little more. She’s making a life there." In an interview with Cosmopolitan US, Lucas Bravo added, "We planted a few seeds about different characters. Like Camille, when she kisses Emily on the mouth and she’s like, ‘I’m not sorry.’ And then when they’re in bed and I’m liking the picture, it’s all little seeds. Anything could happen among the three of them. I think Darren wants this second season to be really open-minded."

A few hours ago, Netflix US took to social media to share stills from the show, and wrote, "more fashion, more romance, more Emily. First look at Season 2!" The 'Emily in Paris' Instagram handle reposted the series of pictures, and wrote, "more looks, more Emily, more PARIS!!! Season 2 first look photos are giving us everything." Here's a sneak peek into season 2:
