“I personally love collecting pinecones whenever I’m travelling to the hills. They add an instant Christmas mood when scattered around the living area or placed in a large bowl with your favourite fragrant oil,” says Chitvan Agarwal, partner at Logam, an online platform for a wide range of decorative accessories.

2. Christmas hygge

Using candles is an easy way to add a sense of warmth to any space. "Use them in different sizes on your mantel or console with some fresh greens from your garden,” advises Aashima Rajpal, partner at Logan.

3. Make it merry and bright with colours

Adding colour with a throw or cushion is an effortless way to brighten up any space. “Use the traditional red, green or gold as accents to bring in the festive cheer,” suggests Chitvan.

4. Greens all year round

Planters are another option to bring in the green into your living space. Ashima suggests you use plants in different sizes with some Christmas ornaments to give your space a Christmas vibe.

5. Christmas home fragrance

Mix spices like cinnamon sticks, cloves, nutmeg, cardamom and star anise as potpourri in a large bowl to fill your home with those mulling scents.

6. Cookies to the rescue

''One east way to bring the Christmas vibe to your home is to add warmth with the smell. Nothing fills up the home faster than freshly baked cookies. To build on it you can light candles with spicy aromas. If you are feeling exceptionally lazy, just put cinnamon on heat and let it do its magic,”says Nishant Chauhan, Co Founder, Fleck, an online home decor store.

7. Use foliage from the garden

"Go for foliage to create a modern and minimalist Advent decoration for your Christmas. Create a wreathe with foliage found in your garden, add some branches to the vases with ornaments creating a soft twinkle,” says Shruti Gupta, Co Founder, Fleck.

8. Add shades of Christmas tree to other parts of your home

“Don't just limit yourself to decorating your tree, other parts of your house deserve decorations too. Create a seamless look with the same shades of lightings and decorations that are used on the Christmas tree,” says Suparna Handa, Managing Director, Sarita Handa. Add lights to console table, corner stools and other ignored corners of your home.
