Here’s the sex position you should try based on your favourite ice cream flavour

Summer is here, and all we can think about is how hot it is. To escape the heat, we are seeking respite by consuming an unhealthy amount of creamy, cold ice cream. We at Cosmopolitan India definitely have our favourites when it comes to the flavours, and we’re guessing you do too. From pastel-hued and tart strawberry, indulgent dark chocolate, to plain vanilla—everyone gravitates towards their flavour of choice when standing in front of the ice cream counter deciding what to pick. 

Ahead, discover the sex position you should try out the next time you get down and dirty, based on your favourite ice cream flavour. 

Dark chocolate—lotus 

Is anything more intense than a scoop or two of bittersweet, rich, dark chocolate ice cream? We don’t think so! If you always find yourself stocking up this flavour in your freezer, then maybe your sex routine needs the lotus, or the yab-yum position. It is all intimacy, and building an intense connection with your partner. Make them sit cross-legged while you sit in their lap facing them. Wrap your legs around them and hug each other for support. Bonus points for staring into each other’s deep gaze for increased intensity. 

Salted caramel—doggy style 

If there was an award for the naughtiest ice cream flavour ever, salted caramel would win it—after all is there anything more sinful than decadent salted caramel swirled into ice cream? If you can’t resist the flavour, then doggy style will quickly become your favourite. The sexy position involves one of the partners getting on all fours while the other kneels behind you. For a variation, lower your upper body onto the bed as you raise your hips—the change in angle will lead to a whole new sensation for both you and your partner. 

Strawberry—spooning 

We think that strawberry ice cream gives major sweet and romantic vibes, and if this is your flavour of choice, then you should try adding spooning to your bedroom sessions—it is intimate, romantic, and oh-so-cute.  Think of it as cuddling but with sex involved—both your partner and you lie on your sides, facing the same direction, while they penetrate you slowly from behind. 

Mint chocolate chip—wheelbarrow 

Mint chocolate chip can be a divisive choice—people either hate it or love it. But given your all for this flavour, you should definitely give the wheelbarrow positions a go with your partner. You get on your hands and feet and have them pick you up by the pelvis as you grip their waist with your thighs. While like mint chocolate chip ice cream the position may not be for everyone—it can be a little tricky to pull off and can result in quite a bit of an arm workout, the result (deeper penetration!) is worth it. 

 Vanilla—missionary 

If your go-to order when at an ice cream shop is a scoop of good ol’ vanilla, chances are you’ll be a big fan of the classic missionary position in the bedroom. All you have to do is lie down on your back while your partner lies face down on top of you. And while it has the reputation of being too simple, as a vanilla lover you’ll know that simple can be delicious. Plus, like vanilla, this position is extremely versatile—switch up leg positions or add a pillow beneath your butt to spice things up.
